A distinctive feature of this traditional Bielefeld linen tea towel is its two fine, tied selvedges, which means the towel has only two narrow sewn hems. The tea towel is made from 100 per cent linen. The base colour of the tea towel is a creamy white, as the fibres have not been treated with bleaching agents – it is completely natural! After 3–4 washes, the tea towel becomes bright white, though it is ready for use after just the first wash. The tea towel is hard-wearing, guaranteed lint-free and machine washable up to 60°C.
 
The motive is permanently applied to the towel using hand-screen printing.
