HELLO,
I'm Karina, and for me my kitchen-living room is the most important feel-good-place in my home. This place is too precious to me to just be OK!
I love beautiful kitchen accessories. I think it's stupid to just be useful, no matter what it looks like. My kitchen gadgets have to be long-lasting; I don't like the fleeting throwaway mentality. And I love classic natural materials, tried and tested for generations and indestructible. I spend a lot of lifetime in my kitchen-living room and it also has many childhood memories of my grandmother. A great cook and baker who had a lasting influence on me. With her own restaurant in the forester's lodge, she taught me at an early age: The first bite is with the eyes. Eating in a beautiful environment with aesthetic accessories is much better!
In the Wildfang collection I combine my professional experience as
a fashion designer with nature and hospitality.

WHERE DO I COME FROM?
I worked as a fashion designer for over 20 years. With a great deal of attention to detail, sensitivity, inventiveness and high-quality handwork, wonderful products have been created during this time. Extraordinary and unconventional at Vivienne Westwood London , classic and timeless at Daniel Hechter Paris , classy and exquisite at Sieger Design and Regent Handtailored or experimental and handcrafted at the highest level in Costume Studios. And what did I learn from it? Experience and skill are important, but the be-all and end-all is the materials – that's what truly matters!

WHO ARE MY TEAM-MATES?
I work with small businesses:
Family businesses, one-man businesses and workplaces for people with disabilities. The raw materials come from Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania, Belgium, Ireland, France, Portugal and Germany and I have them assembled on site. Short distances are sustainable and the special bonus on top: We stand with Ukraine! I am really happy that I can support them. The motifs are printed by hand by an experienced textile screen printer just round the corner in the Rhine-Neckar region. We use various water-based colour systems, the paints are mixed by hand always adapted to the material and the intended purpose. Nothing is left to chance and the products are all alike. That's what I call quality!
